Why we write these notes

What to expect from the Moatify blog: practical outbound lessons from building and running an autonomous pipeline, written by the person doing it.

Most software company blogs exist to fill a sitemap. The posts are written to rank, not to help, and you can feel it by the second paragraph.

We want to do the opposite here, and it helps that we have an unfair advantage: Moatify runs real outbound every day. We see what gets replies and what gets ignored, which subject lines survive contact with a real inbox, how deliverability actually degrades, and what happens when you follow up too much or too little. That gives us something most blogs in this category do not have: data we generated ourselves and mistakes we paid for ourselves.

So here is the deal for these notes:

  • Everything comes from practice. If we write about warm-up schedules, it is because we run them. If we write about reply rates, the numbers come from our own sends, stated with their sample sizes.
  • We will say when something does not work. Plenty of popular outbound advice is stale or was never true. When our data disagrees with the conventional wisdom, we will show the data.
  • Short over long. Posts are as long as the idea requires. No padding to hit a word count.
  • Updated, not abandoned. When a post goes stale, we fix it or delete it. Each one carries its dates.

If you are a founder doing your own outbound, this blog is for you. If something here saves you a bounced domain or wins you one extra reply, it did its job.

Questions or disagreements: support@moatify.io. We read everything.
