For recruiters

Candidates ignore templates. Send something researched.

The best candidates get ten recruiter emails a week and answer none of them. Moatify researches what each person has built and written, so your outreach opens with something true instead of "I came across your profile".

The problem, as you live it

InMail fatigue is universal

Strong engineers and operators have learned to skim past anything that smells templated. The channel is not dead; undifferentiated messages in it are.

Real sourcing research does not scale by hand

Reading a candidate's GitHub, talks, and posts before writing takes 20 minutes each. A solo recruiter cannot do that thirty times a day and also run searches, screens, and clients.

Follow-up discipline decides placements

Passive candidates rarely answer the first touch. The placement usually comes from touch three or four, sent politely and on time, which is exactly what falls through the cracks in a busy desk.

Agency recruiters sell to two sides

Business development to hiring companies is its own cold-outbound motion, and it is plain B2B selling, where Moatify is fully at home.

How Moatify runs it

  1. 1

Describe the role and the profile

Treat the role like an offering and the candidate profile like an ICP: target roles, seniority, industries, and the signals that matter (shipped X, writes about Y, active in Z). Moatify turns that into structured search personas.

  2. 2

Source from where candidates actually are

Discovery searches Google, LinkedIn, GitHub, Twitter/X, and conference and community sources for people matching the profile, deduplicating against everyone you have already contacted.

  3. 3

    Research before outreach

The research agent reads what each candidate has published (repos, posts, talks, interviews) and surfaces the specifics: what they build, what they care about, what they have said about their work.

  4. 4

    You approve every message

Drafts reference those specifics and wait in your review queue. Approve, edit, or reject; follow-ups run on your cadence, and interested replies can book directly onto your calendar.

What matters for you

Person-level research

The same engine that researches B2B buyers reads a candidate's public work. For technical searches, GitHub and published-content extraction give you openers a template cannot fake.

Tone control

Five tone presets plus standing instructions keep outreach in your voice, whether that is warm and low-key or direct and specific about the role.

Automated follow-up sequences

Configurable cadence, context-aware follow-ups that reference the earlier message, and automatic stop on reply. The touch-three discipline, without the sticky notes.

Calendar booking

Interested candidates get real availability from your Google Calendar and confirmed slots become events with the candidate invited.

Business development included

Winning new client companies is standard B2B outbound: run it as a separate project with its own ICP and strategy, the motion Moatify was originally built for.

Where to start

Solo desk: Starter at $49 per month covers one continuous sourcing motion. Running client BD and candidate outreach side by side fits Growth at $149 with three projects. Fair warning: pricing and caps are tuned for outreach quality, not bulk sourcing; if your model is 500 InMails a week, this is the wrong tool. Full pricing details.

Common questions

Is Moatify an ATS or a sourcing database?

Neither, and it does not pretend to be. There is no requisition tracking, no resume parsing, no candidate database. Moatify covers the outreach layer: finding people on the live web, researching them, writing, following up, and booking. Keep your ATS; Moatify fills its top.

Honestly, is Moatify built for recruiting?

It was built for founder-led B2B sales, and that is still its center of gravity. It works for recruiting because candidate outreach has the same shape: specific person, real research, personal message, disciplined follow-up. If you need LinkedIn InMail automation or ATS integration, purpose-built recruiting tools serve that better.

Does it send LinkedIn InMails?

No. It drafts messages you can use anywhere and sends email from your own inbox. LinkedIn action automation (auto-InMail, auto-connect) is deliberately out of scope.

Where do candidate emails come from?

The same waterfall as B2B contacts: web search, pattern inference, optional Hunter and Apollo lookups, and SMTP verification before an address is trusted. Coverage is strongest for people with public professional footprints; for fully private candidates, expect to source the address yourself.
